I just made $520 this week working from home for google. I cant believe how easy this is. Im recommending this to everyone, check out this guys google blog makemoneywith-google.com
I just came across your profile in this network. I would like to extend an invitation to join Allvoices.com. It’s a citizen journalist site. We discuss, debate, post news and report news about everything under the sun. Allvoices also has an incentive program for writers and they can make money writing, earn up to $10,000 cash. Register at http://www.allvoices.com/journalism and start contributing.
I'm not into the city food scene much, as I'm a religious Jew, and I can't eat by most restuarants.
However, you may also gain alot by reviewing restaurants on a unique site of your own, and branding yourself as a los angeles restuarant blogger of note as well. (Not on blogspot - on a unique domain, and make it focused solely on restuarant reviews).
I actually created a kosher restaurant review site for a client (www.lakosherrestaurants.com). I did five restaurant reviews, and gained a top ranking for LA Kosher Restaurant, as well as localized version of that, e.g. pico robertson restuarant, as well as the name of the restuarant itself.
This will give you credibility as a blogger, and potentially a journalist if that's where you want to head towards. I would buy a domain like:
LARESTAURANTSREVIEWED.COM (available), use wordpress etc.
If you are interested, I could buy the domain for you, and provide the hosting, as long as you are willing to write at least three times a week. I'll help you work on monetizing the blog as well.
I was in LACC, transferred to CSUN. I never ended going yet - as I found my dream industry (online marketing - Business Strategy, SEO and SEM). I think I'm going to be going back in the fall though.
I'd encourage you to get involved either in entrepreneurial way, or as a job in something that intrigues you - even as an intern. It'll give you a feel for types that you like and don't like... and may even give you some pocket change. (My first job was a summer internship at razorgator.com two years ago).

3 reviews is kind of too much though, I can't even afford to eat out that much, is there any other way?
